About myself "Nash"
My name is Werner Zwakhalen "Nash"
I started as a kid in 1980/81 as a B-Boy.
Dancing was a big passion for me ,for many years.
Also drawing, what I did as long as I can remember was a big thing for me.
When Hiphop came in my life ,it changed me a lot ,because I could proof myself in a new way.
Dancing and painting graffiti was a big thing for me in such a small town like Sittard where i'm living.
A lot of people know me for this, because i was the first in my area who did these things.
I painted my first graffiti in a youth center (la chapelle) this was in a church....funny if I think about it!
My first tag was popping tc, also a funny story.
Because i was a allround dancer and known for my popping I choose this as the first part ,and tc was the name of the black guy in the helicopter Magnum...... what i didn't understand in that time ,that this are his initials for his name! :-)
After in 1983 i had the name zobaps, this came from a episode of miami vice (some voodoo guy).
Later I changed my name in Semo for a few years, till 1986 and I make my name hash because I could tag it like it was a Chinese name.
My friend had the name J.Stone (Jan Steen) and I liked his tag a lot especially the letter N.
So I took the N and I could make Hans or Nash, and Nash it was!
In 1986 I met June and we get along with each other and found a name to start a crew. S.A.K (street art kings)
We made a lot of pieces together illegal and Legal.
In 1987 we had our first expo and got a big job from the city to paint a tunnel.
After that we make a lot of publicity and got many commercial jobs.
But stupid as I was I used Nash legal and illegal and got caught in 1989 and had to pay 6000 dutch fl.
After I started a lot of crews, NCP, STP,SW,Who Crew, 203, UR, and now LoveLetters and I joined my friend Belin's crew OGT from spain.
Now I prefer to have fun with painting and earn some money with it.
